Claritax Books was launched in 2011 to publish books about UK tax, written by tax barristers, solicitors, accountants and other professionals. We cover narrower topics in depth, with an emphasis on accurate, practical commentary and on clarity of writing and presentation.

Our books are all written by individuals who are actively engaged in providing tax advice in their specialist areas, and who are willing to share their expertise in their writings.

We have provided our books to most of the top 100 accountants in the UK (including all the top 20), and to many smaller firms as well as to lawyers, financial advisers and other tax professionals. We also supply books to various institutes (e.g. the ICAEW) on a regular basis.

We are a small team based in Chester, England. The company is controlled and directed by Ray Chidell MA (Cantab), CTA (Fellow). Ray was for six years a tax partner with Mazars LLP and then worked for CCH for eight years, writing their top level tax commentary on his specialist topic of capital allowances and on certain other areas of UK tax.

Our books are all edited and printed in the UK.
