Katherine Bullock

Katherine Bullock MA (Cantab), CTA, TEP, Barrister is a specialist tax barrister, in practice at her own chambers, St Katharine’s, in York and prior to that at Field Court Tax Chambers in London. Katherine enjoys a busy advisory practice that covers all areas of tax with a particular focus on the domestic and international taxation of private clients and their companies, trusts and family structures. A past editor of the definitive text on land taxation, she regularly advises on property transactions.

She has an MA in Law from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Tax Adviser, member of STEP, a Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Family Business Adviser. Katherine was previously a senior tax partner in two global professional services firms for over 15 years, first as the UK head of private client services and then as head of private client services for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, which provided a unique insight that she uses to her clients’ best advantage today.

Recognised as one of the ‘Most Influential Private Client Advisers’ in the UK in 2013, 2014 and 2018 and ‘50 Top Tax Advisers’ in 2018, she has over 25 years’ experience advising high net worth individuals on their personal and business interests. Katherine is a regular contributor to the professional press and is regularly invited to chair and speak at conferences across the UK.

Katherine set up her first (and quite possibly the first) Family Investment Company (FIC) in 2006 and still advises both company and family today. She has had a passion for FICs ever since.
