Jake has worked as a capital allowances specialist since 2007, having originally qualified as a mechanical and electrical engineer. He later moved into senior programme management on an unrivalled multinational collaborative project. His responsibilities on that programme included, among other things, the life cycle cost, funding, improvements and environmental issues facing the construction and management of buildings and facilities in four European countries.
Jake founded Six Forward as a capital allowances firm in 2010 and, along with his multi-skilled colleagues, is responsible for the provision of a full capital allowances service, that includes in-house survey and valuation as well as important advice on buying and selling, to more than 250 UK accountants and their clients, analysing expenditure of over £1 billion per year.
Jake has written capital allowances articles for the accounting institutions and is a regular presenter and speaker, sometimes with Ray, to tax specialists, accountants and solicitors.
