Howard Royse

Howard Royse studied accountancy at the University of East Anglia and qualified as a chartered accountant with a top 20 firm in 1985. He has been in practice as a sole practitioner for more than twenty years and has acted as the financial consultant for several construction companies.
He took up the post as the construction industry representative for ICAEW in 2004 and engaged in discussions with HMRC for what is now the current CIS, the employment status indicator and advised HMRC in the restructuring of the CIS repayment system. He has briefed the Public Accounts Committee for meetings with HMRC on CIS and has published several articles in the ICAEW Taxline, and Taxation magazines. He is a member of the ICAEW Small Business Tax Committee.
